A job where the work actually adds up to something.

We are a small crew running an art and animal rescue sanctuary on a lot of desert acreage. Some of us are with the animals, some of us are with the guests, some of us are answering messages and keeping the whole thing running. Every one of those jobs is why the rescues get to stay.

What we are looking for

Nothing specific is posted at the moment, and we still read every application that comes in. The work here runs across:

  • Animal care, feeding, and med rounds
  • Guest experiences, tours, and hosting
  • Customer service, messages, and booking help
  • Housekeeping and turnovers
  • Grounds, maintenance, and building things
  • Photo, video, and social

Tell us what you are good at and we keep it on file for when the work opens up. People we already know are the first ones we call.

Before you apply

  • You are 18 or over. The whole property is adults only.
  • We are in Morongo Valley, California, about 20 minutes from Joshua Tree, and you will need your own transportation.
  • Tell us which side of the work you want. Hands on with the animals and the grounds, out front with the guests, or behind the scenes on messages and logistics. Plenty of people here do more than one.
  • No experience with rescue animals required. Showing up when you said you would is the part we cannot teach.
