Who we are
Kaleidoscope Desert Foundation runs Kaleidoscope Desert Sanctuary, an art and animal rescue sanctuary in Morongo Valley, California. We are a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, EIN 99-1757517. This policy covers kaleidoscopedesert.com and the booking pages at visit.kaleidoscopedesert.com.
What we collect when you browse
We count visits ourselves. Each page view records the page, the site that sent you, any campaign tags on the link, and which link you clicked. That count uses no cookies, we do not store your IP address, and we cannot tell who you are from it.
To see whether our ads lead to visits and donations, the site may load the Google tag, and the booking pages may load the Meta Pixel. Those tools can set cookies and receive the page you were on and the action you took, such as a completed booking or donation. If your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, this site does not load the Google tag or record the visit.
What you choose to give us
When you join the monthly postcard we keep your email address. When you book a visit, buy from the store, donate, or become a Fairy Godparent we keep your name, email, and phone number, the details of what you booked or gave, and for godparents the billing address collected at checkout. When you apply to foster, adopt, or work here we keep what you put on the form. When you email, text, or message us we keep the conversation so we can answer you.
Card payments are handled by Stripe. Your card number goes to Stripe and never reaches us.
How we use it
To run your visit, send your confirmation and arrival details, send receipts, answer your questions, deliver the newsletter and godparent letters you signed up for, and understand which pages and ads are working. We do not sell your information, and we do not rent or trade it.
We share it only with the services that help us operate, such as payment processing, email and text delivery, and website hosting, and only so they can do that job. We may disclose information when the law requires it.
Your choices
Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link. Reply STOP to any text to stop texts. To see, correct, or delete the information we hold about you, email info@kaleidoscopedesert.com and we will take care of it.
Age
Every experience at the sanctuary is for adults 18 and over, and this site is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
